Joey Green's Amazing Kitchen Cures helped some long, cold winter nights along . . .
the book was cut, creased, shredded, glued, ripped, added to, rearranged and moulded to eventually sub-title 'He-Motion'
This idea was inspired by Lilla Duignan who introduced me to the concept and way of the bricoleur and who has been working with books as a creative and artistic medium for several years.
And quaquaversal gratitudes to Jenny Leigh who took time out from creating Godesses out of anything from concrete to tissue paper in order to organise book altering as a group project.
A few people, each of whom bought a book, gave it a new title and spent a month rearranging it before sending it on to the next person for further rearrangement. And so each book passed around about 8 or 9 people before arriving back home where it started. Most enjoyable! (Although if anyone is inspired to take on the idea, I would suggest 4-5 people in the group. It better corresponds to winter months and keeps the creativity fresh)
